1. Fertiliser planning made easier with new MySOYL feature
Once your cropping for next year has been confirmed, it’s wise to calculate your fertiliser requirements as soon as you can. To generate product recommendations, we will require your cropping data for the 2018 season.
The new crop input form within MySOYL makes submitting cropping data simple. The feature is easy to use and allows full recording of each crop per field, including block selection to speed up the process for many fields. In addition, it’s possible to include any deductions for organic manures, products supplied to the soil when drilling and other products like Limex or DAP to ensure the recommendation is as accurate as possible. The crop input data can of course be altered if cropping changes, but a guide as to crop, straw policy, target yield and any deductions will enable us to get back to you as soon as possible with tonnages to apply.
As well as the option to fill this in online, the module also allows you to look back at what was applied last season, add in any missed applications of products and submit to our applications team with just two clicks of a mouse.

2. Claas yield mapping support
Continuing for 2017 harvest is our support for Claas yield mapping systems, which covers both card reader and telematics variants. Our support agreement with Claas for card systems is to set up Agrocom mapping software on customer PCs, assisting with how to set up data cards and get this onto the combine, plus getting data back to the PC successfully.
With telematics mapping, which is available on combines and foragers, our support extends to assisting customers with setting up accounts and establishing boundaries for the machine to work to. Once the machine cuts or chops in a field, the yield data is contained within this boundary and can be handled easily post-harvest.
The value of mapping yield data continues to increase as the tools in MySOYL become increasingly sophisticated. The information can be used to help establish repeating trends across fields or crop types and using layers of data in this way, it’s possible to create management zones which can be handled differently to other parts of the field in terms of cultivation, seed rates, disease control, or fertiliser.
